The Northeast region of Arkansas includes most of the Arkansas' Delta lands and stretches west to the Ozarks. The Mississippi Delta, the flat, mushy, river-crossed lowland on both sides of the great river, was some of the country's first industrial farmland. Though cotton was once king, abundant rice and soybeans are now produced as well.
