Northwest Arkansas is home to the picturesque Ozark Mountain Range and world-renown crystal clear lakes and rivers. Residents and visitors also enjoy nine state parks, one national park and several museums.
Northwest Arkansas is the sixth fastest-growing region in the country. Wal-Mart, Tyson Foods and JB Hunt base their corporate headquarters here as well as a number of smaller businesses, where they can pull top-talent from one of six universities and colleges in the region. The northwest region is the state’s primary producer of cattle, poultry, milk, and hogs and pigs. It also produces soybeans, wheat and forestry products in smaller amounts. In addition to 6 major poultry companies, this region also manufactures electrical motors, household appliance, stainless steel and aluminum products, various food products, and plastic sheet/film and bags.
