Lincoln, Pryor, Boozman Announce More Than $532,000 for Lowell Abstinence Education Program

Washington – U.S. Senators Blanche Lincoln and Mark Pryor and Representative John Boozman (AR-03) today announced that Reality Check, Inc., of Lowell, Ark., will receive $532,509 from the Department of Health & Human Services for a community abstinence education program.

“Programs that promote the healthy development of our children are of great importance to our communities,” Lincoln said.  “Reality Check’s program will equip today’s youth for future success by teaching important life choices.”

“Abstinence is the only 100% effective way not to get pregnant or contract a sexually transmitted disease (STDs),” said Pryor. “This important educational program will encourage Lowell teens to make responsible decisions.”

“I am a strong supporter of abstinence education, and I am glad to see Reality Check taking a leadership role in providing this type of learning to our youth,” Boozman said. “This money represents an investment in the future of our children and in the ‘positive life choices’ that are part of Reality Check’s mission.”
